pro.manchester.connects is a very exciting step for pro.manchester as part of CORE our corporate outreach programme. It is designed to assist start ups, entrepreneurs and SME's in Greater Manchester and the North West. It is a gigantic digital hub, a sort of web 2.0+ umbrella over Greater Manchester. It will sign post and assist with, education, mentoring, coaching,preparation,networking, coworking, access to capital and finance.
pro.manchester.connects, is a new idea based on the very successful San Diego Connect model. Funded by local organisations, San Diego Connect is designed to accelerate innovation and enterprise in the city.
pro.manchester.connects Innovation and Enterprise with Advice and Finance, it's a 4G strategy, combining Corporate Social Responsibility with market and business development. An exercise in coopetition and co-operative marketing that can reduce the cost of new business acquisition for members.
The schemes will provide, recognition, reward and returns to SMEʼs and entrepreneurs. pro.manchester.connects will signpost and connect to a series of initiatives in the incubators, science parks, universities, business schools and elsewhere.
The plan is to launch pro.manchester. connects at the pro.manchester Business and Professional Services Conference in March 2011. Member organisations are asked to consider the proposal over a four week period until mid October.
Discussions on the go-ahead and funding levels will begin from the 18th October.
